On May 10, the first academic exchange event for Doctoral Students in Educational Leadership and Management of Qufu Normal University was held in the conference room of the Administration Building, attended by renowned domestic experts in the education field.
In his welcome speech, Diao Hongbin elaborated on the college’s school-running history and educational philosophy, and expressed gratitude to Qufu Normal University for establishing the Doctoral Teaching and Practice Base at our college. He stated that the college will fully support the construction of the base, provide abundant practical carriers and case resources for doctoral research, and leverage the intellectual resources of high-level doctoral talents to boost the high-quality development of the college.
Liu Tingting, Vice Dean of the School of Education of Qufu Normal University, delivered a speech and introduced that the Education discipline of Qufu Normal University is a national first-class undergraduate program construction site, a provincial peak discipline in Shandong Province, and has been included in Shandong’s Provincial First-Class Discipline Construction “811 Project”. As a leading vocational college specializing in tourism education, Qingdao Vocational and Technical College of Hotel Management can provide high-quality case research resources for education doctoral students through the base, which is of great significance for broadening postgraduates’ academic horizons and improving their practical capabilities.
At the opening ceremony, Diao Hongbin and Liu Tingting jointly unveiled the Doctoral Teaching and Practice Base of Qufu Normal University.
Diao Hongbin issued distinguished professor appointment certificates to eight experts, namely Li Qingcheng (Senior Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of Nankai University), Zhang Hua (Distinguished Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of Qufu Normal University), Ji Biao (Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of Shandong Normal University, Executive Vice President of Shandong Vocational Education Research Institute), Wang Huanjing (Professor, Doctoral Supervisor and Dean of the School of Communication of Qufu Normal University), Guang Shaokui (Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of Qufu Normal University), Wang Dinggong (Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of Qufu Normal University), Wang Yunwu (Professor of Jiangsu Normal University), and Li Kai (Associate Professor of Qufu Normal University).
Shi Meishan introduced and launched the college’s vertical artificial intelligence large model development project for research and tourism disciplines to the participating experts.
In the keynote report session, four experts delivered wonderful speeches on special topics. Li Qingcheng shared The Path of AI Three-teacher Classroom and the Evolutionary Governance of Teaching Organization; Ji Biao presented Practice and Reflections on the Cultivation of Research-oriented Talents in the Digital Era; Wang Yunwu gave a report entitled Generative Artificial Intelligence Empowering the Modernization of Educational Governance; Zhang Hua delivered a speech on Literacy-oriented Project-based Learning.
In the case report session, with the theme of Breakthrough of Vocational Education under the Background of Artificial Intelligence +: From Policy Dividends to Paradigm Revolution, Diao Hongbin systematically introduced the college’s exploration and practice of innovative talent training mode for vocational education based on the industry-education integration concept of “enterprises putting forward problems, schools and enterprises solving problems jointly, and the market evaluating results”. With seven typical cases, he illustrated the college’s thoughts, paths and achievements in promoting industry-education integration in vocational education against the backdrop of artificial intelligence, triggering strong responses among the attending experts.
Participating experts including Li Qingcheng, Zhang Hua and Guang Shaokui engaged in in-depth interactions based on the reports, and fully affirmed and highly praised the college’s typical practices in the field of vocational education.
In the field visit session, the participants conducted on-site investigations of various teaching and practice bases, including the Cultural and Tourism Innovation Workshop, Tourism Scenario Big Data Engineering Technology Center, Hismile Digital Hotel, Cainiao Station and Culinary Training Center, gaining an immersive and systematic understanding of the college’s advanced school-running concepts and teaching models.
In the group discussion session, doctoral students majoring in Educational Leadership and Management of Qufu Normal University carried out their first seminar at the teaching and practice base under the guidance of their supervisors. All students spoke highly of the college’s school-running strength and exchanged diverse viewpoints on the college’s development from the perspective of doctoral research.
Hosted by the School of Education of Qufu Normal University and undertaken by our college, this event centered on the core theme of artificial intelligence empowering educational governance and innovative development of vocational education.
It gathered more than 70 high-level talents including well-known educational scholars and doctoral students majoring in educational leadership and management. The event has built a high-level doctoral teaching and practice base and a high-quality academic exchange platform for education doctoral students, providing strong support for the high-quality development of our university.
