Seminar & faculty-student meeting held for Big Data Technology Associate-to-bachelor Integrated Program

On May 11, the college held a faculty-student meeting and a special lecture on collaborative education for the Big Data Technology Associate-to-bachelor Integrated Program in the conference room of the Administration Building.

President Han Xiqing delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the college. He pointed out that since the launch of the cooperation between the two colleges, solid progress has been made in the integrated design of talent training programs, precise connection of curriculum systems, and sharing of teaching resources. Students have won numerous awards in various competitions at all levels, fully demonstrating the achievements of collaborative education. He expressed the hope that the two colleges would further deepen cooperation and make concerted efforts to build a model of inter-university cooperation and a highland for talent cultivation.

Cui Xiaohong, Deputy Party Secretary, delivered a speech on behalf of Linyi University. She spoke highly of the college’s school-running strength and educational achievements, introduced the historical heritage and disciplinary advantages of Linyi University, and emphasized that the 3+2 associate-to-bachelor integrated program is an important measure to unblock the promotion channel for technical and skilled talents and serve the high-quality development of the region.

Cui Xiaohong put forward expectations for both sides: to align with policy requirements and set a benchmark for integrated training; to deepen connotation construction and establish a collaborative education mechanism; to strictly control training quality and consolidate the foundation of further study transition; and to expand cooperation fields and build an exemplary model of inter-university collaboration.

Meanwhile, she encouraged students to cherish the opportunity, integrate the practical advantages of junior college education with the theoretical innovation of undergraduate education, and grow into high-quality application-oriented talents.

At the meeting, Dr. Wang Lina, head teacher of the Program, and Dr. Chi Xiaotong, counselor, respectively reported on students’ academic performance, daily life and management work. Wang Liman, a student representative, shared her learning experience and growth insights. Yi Wenjuan, Dean of the School of Information Engineering Technology, made a statement, saying that the school will continue to implement the collaborative education requirements of the two colleges, strengthen teaching management, optimize the training process, and fully guarantee the quality of the Program.

An award ceremony was held on site. Cui Xiaohong, Han Xiqing and Jiang Lingling, Chairman of the Trade Union, presented awards to outstanding students respectively: those who scored 500 or above in the National College English Test Band 4, winners of the Second Prize in the 2025 Belt and Road & BRICS Skills Development and Technological Innovation Competition, and national Second Prize winners of the National Lanqiao Cup Competition, to recognize advanced models and set role models for all students.

Subsequently, Wang Jiuru, Dean of the School of Information Science and Engineering of Linyi University, gave a special lecture titled Me and Our University. Starting from his personal growth experience, he gave a systematic explanation covering professional development, academic planning and curriculum system, providing targeted guidance for students to clarify their growth paths and improve comprehensive literacy.

This event further consolidated the cooperation consensus between the two colleges and deepened the connotation of the integrated training. Taking this exchange as a new starting point, both sides will continuously promote curriculum co-construction, teacher joint training, resource sharing and joint quality evaluation, constantly improve the five-year integrated talent training system, strive to build an exemplary model of collaborative education between higher vocational colleges and undergraduate universities, and cultivate more high-quality technical and skilled talents for the construction of the modern vocational education system and the high-quality development of regional economy.
