From April 9 to 12, the 2025-2026 training program Teacher Digital Competency Improvement in the AI Era, launched by the Vocational Education Development Center of the Ministry of Education, was successfully held at the college.
A total of 54 teachers from 21 vocational colleges across the country gathered in Qingdao and completed all learning tasks after four days of systematic and professional training.
Diao Hongbin, Secretary of the Party Committee of the college, delivered the opening keynote speech titled Breakthroughs in Vocational Education Under the Background of AI Plus: From Policy Dividends to Paradigm Revolution.
The training achieved three major innovations in curriculum design and organizational implementation.
First, it emphasized concept guidance. Centering on the implementation of the Education Power Construction Plan (2024-2035), it helped teachers renew their concepts of digital education and realize the in-depth integration of digital competency and teaching practice.
Second, it highlighted targeted empowerment. Special pre-training surveys were conducted. In view of differences in participants’ teaching years, professional titles and digital literacy foundations, the curriculum was designed to be both inclusive and advanced, ensuring targeted training.
Third, it focused on result orientation. Adopting diverse training forms including special lectures, case studies, group lesson research and achievement demonstrations, it strengthened practical training and achievement transformation to fulfill the in-depth goal of promoting learning through training and advancing practice through learning.
The training consisted of four core interconnected and coordinated modules, forming a systematic pathway for teachers to enhance digital capabilities.
The module of Concept Guidance and Policy Foundation clarified the requirements for teaching innovation in the digital age through policy interpretation and analysis of college digital transformation cases.
The module of Technical Analysis and Application Planning focused on the integration of artificial intelligence and teaching management to consolidate the practical foundation of digital teaching administration.
The module of Practical Training and Skill Polishing carried out specialized training on AI-enabled teaching design and smart classroom construction via salons and group lesson discussions.
The Achievement Transformation module organized result presentations in the forms of lesson demonstrations and micro-lessons, with expert comments to optimize teaching designs and facilitate the implementation of training outcomes.
During the training, full-time head teachers provided whole-process support, covering pre-training preparation, on-site management and logistics services. With strict quality control through expert guidance and result evaluation, the training was highly recognized by all participating teachers.
