Take It Easy, and Keep Smiling

Recently, the college’s internship and employment interviews officially kicked off. Amid a slightly tense atmosphere, Diao Hongbin, Secretary of the Party Committee of the college, walked among the students, patted a student on the shoulder with a smile and said: “Take it easy, keep smiling, and you will surely succeed.”

It is precisely this immersive education philosophy of “seizing every opportunity to educate people” that has enabled generations of students to step from campus to industry, from inexperience to excellence, attracting widespread attention in the field of vocational education nationwide.

Accompanied Growth from Interview Rooms to Internship Posts

To help students to start internships “feel confident and secure”, the college launched an Internship Attitude & Awareness Course. The leaders took the lead in entering classrooms and interview venues, chatting with students in a casual manner to ease anxiety and build confidence.

The college implements a “residential management” internship model, with normalized mechanisms including monthly internship guidance meetings and holiday enterprise visits.

This “24/7 online care” ensures that students stay steady and grow rapidly at internship positions. In recent years, the college’s interns have been highly recognized and widely praised by all sectors of society, with internship stability ranking among the top in the industry.

Opening the “Main Channels” of School-Enterprise Collaboration via Enterprise Outreach

Adhering to the industry-education integration concept of “enterprises set the tasks, schools and enterprises solve them together, and the market evaluates the results”, college-led enterprise visits have become a new normal. Every visit is problem-oriented, with clear objectives and actionable solutions.

The college earnestly responds to every “demand” raised by enterprises, turning practical dialogues into specific reforms.

At present, the college has established long-term strategic partnerships with world-class luxury hotel brands including Marriott, IHG, Peninsula Hotels, Mandarin Oriental, covering the top-tier lineup of the international hotel industry.

Career Planning: From the “First Lesson” to the “Final Mile”

The college has built a career education system: courses – competitions – practices.

In the 3rd National College Students Career Planning Competition (Shandong Provincial Final), the students achieved 2 gold medals and 1 silver medal, a historic breakthrough in the number of gold medals.

To date, more than 2,300 alumni have grown into middle and senior management talents (director level or above), among whom over 280 serve as general managers of renowned hotels at home and abroad.

An alumni who has been promoted to General Manager of a five-star hotel shared during his return visit:

“Take it easy, keep smiling” — I have kept these words in my heart for ten years. Now I teach my apprentices the same: Service is not bowing down; it is helping others see beauty.

From the encouraging phrase “take it easy” before interviews, to heart-to-heart talks at internship hotels; from dedicated enterprise outreach, to shining moments on career planning competition podiums — the college demonstrates with concrete actions what it means to seize every opportunity to educate people.
