On March 16, a delegation led by Wu Han, Human Resources Director of New Oriental Wokaide (Qingdao) Culture and Tourism Co., Ltd., visited the college to hold discussions on cultural and tourism industry talent development, practical training base construction, and school-enterprise cooperation.

Diao Hongbin, Secretary of the college Party Committee, attended the symposium. He introduced the college’s recent explorations and practices in deepening industry-education integration and advancing collaborative education between schools and enterprises, and exchanged views on the development trends of the cultural and tourism industry as well as talent cultivation models.

He pointed out that vocational education must closely align with industrial demands, adhering to the industry-education integration philosophy of “enterprises set the questions, schools and enterprises solve them together, and the market evaluates the results”. Guided by real industrial challenges, the college will innovate its talent cultivation model.

In practice, exploration can be carried out through a “Project Workshop” mechanism. Taking real projects as the carrier, the college will openly develop curriculum systems and teaching content to continuously strengthen the linkage between teaching and industry.

Meanwhile, real enterprise projects will be integrated into on-campus practical teaching. Through on-campus practical training, post-following internships, post-replacing internships and other forms, practical training scenarios with production attributes will be built to empower talent development via projects and promote win-win results in school-enterprise cooperation.

Wu Han stated that the enterprise highly values collaboration with us and hopes to establish a stable school-enterprise cooperation mechanism for in-depth cooperation in internship and practical training, talent development, and cultural and tourism project practice.

She noted that with the continuous emergence of new business forms in the cultural and tourism industry, the industry’s demand for interdisciplinary cultural and tourism talents keeps growing. The enterprise’s current key recruitment positions include cultural and tourism anchors, cultural and tourism butlers, and cultural and tourism lecturers. It hopes to jointly cultivate applied cultural and tourism talents with professional competence, innovative awareness and practical capabilities through the school-enterprise collaborative education platform, providing talent support for the high-quality development of the cultural and tourism industry.

After the symposium, the two sides reached a cooperative intent on jointly building a New Oriental Cultural and Tourism Project Workshop and order-based talent cultivation. They agreed to further strengthen communication and collaboration, explore more cooperation models for cultural and tourism industry development and talent training, and jointly push industry-education integration to a deeper level.
