The college excels in Shandong Final of 3rd National College Students' Career Planning Competition

On March 16, the Shandong Final of the 3rd National College Students' Career Planning Competition, co-hosted by the Department of Education of Shandong Province and the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Shandong Province, came to a successful conclusion.

Our contestants achieved an outstanding result of 2 gold medals and 1 silver medal, marking a historic breakthrough in the number of gold medals. Meanwhile, we’re the only higher vocational college to win 2 gold medals in the Employment Track, setting a new record for the best performance in the provincial final of this competition.

With the theme of Dream Building for Youth, Aspiration for the Future; Career Planning for a Bright Journey, the competition attracted 1.89 million teachers and students from 166 universities and colleges across the province, with 360 students advancing to the provincial final.

At the final, our contestants delivered comprehensive presentations covering career positioning, development paths, post competency and so on, fully demonstrating the energetic and promising spirit of our students. Their professional career planning and clear career thinking won high recognition from the judges.

In the end,

  • Zhang Lu from the School of Culinary Arts and Wang Huimin from      the School of Culture and Tourism won the Gold Awards in the      Employment Track for higher vocational colleges;

  • Zhang Chen from the School of Culture and Tourism won the Silver      Award in the Growth Track for higher vocational colleges;

  • Zhang Lu was awarded the Best Style Award with the      highest score in the Employment Track of higher vocational colleges;

  • Four instructors, namely Wang Jian, Zhang Xinyue, Tian Chao and      Li Qiujun, were honored as Excellent Instructors;

  • The college was conferred the Excellent Organization Award.

This remarkable achievement is the result of concerted efforts and collaboration of the entire college.

After the competition, the college leaders spoke highly of the historic breakthrough made by the students, fully affirming the hard work and unremitting efforts of all participating teachers and students.

The college will continue to deepen the education model of promoting learning, teaching and employment through competitions, build a three-level competition system at the college, provincial and national levels, and foster a sound atmosphere for full participation in competitions. It will join hands with leading enterprises to participate in the whole process of career planning and develop a post competency model database.

The college will also build an intelligent employment service platform to achieve precise matching of talent supply and demand through big data analysis, strive to translate the competition influence into employment driving force, and fully promote high-quality and full employment for graduates.
