According to the recent notice issued by the Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, Zhang Chen from the School of Culture and Tourism won the second prize in the Putonghua group, while Bai Yanchao and Huang Lijuan won third prizes.
In addition, Zhang Chen and Bai Yanchao were awarded the title of “Qingdao Food Promotion Ambassador”, and Huang Lijuan was named “Qingdao Cruise Tourism Promotion Ambassador”.
The competition was co-hosted by multiple organizations including the Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and organized by the college.
Under the theme of building the “Most Beautiful Qingdao Guide” service brand, the event aimed to enhance urban tourism quality, improve guides’ ability to tell Qingdao’s stories, and support the high-quality development of Qingdao’s tourism industry.
It consisted of two categories: Putonghua tour guide and English tour guide, with three stages: preliminary, semi-final and final, featuring strict selection and orderly organization.
During the event, the School of Culture and Tourism made thorough preparations and encouraged students to explore Qingdao’s tourism and cultural connotations, promoting the city’s tourism image with professional perspectives.
These achievements demonstrate the college’s commitment to the philosophy of “promoting teaching and learning through competitions”.
