Li Na, a 2019 graduate of our college’s Tourism Management program, is among the awardees, according to the recent announcement issued by the Ministry of Education of the winners of the 2024–2025 University Graduates Excellence Scholarship (Award) for Grassroots Employment.
A total of 418 outstanding graduates nationwide were recognized, among whom 23 are from Shandong Province.
This marks the second time a student from our college has received this honor, following Song Danyang, a graduate of class 2017 majoring in the Marketing. It fully demonstrates the solid achievements of the college in guiding graduates to pursue careers at the grassroots level.
Li Na enrolled in the Tourism Management program of the college in 2016. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management from Shandong Normal University through a college-undergraduate bridging program in 2020. In September 2021, she joined Hami Secondary Vocational School in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, becoming a grassroots teacher dedicated to serving the border area.
Since taking up her post, she has remained committed to the frontline of vocational education, teaching 5 specialized courses for 157 students across 3 grades. In daily teaching, she has won the second and third prizes in the school’s young teachers’ open-class competition three times, and claimed the third prize in the Vocational Skills Competition of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
In terms of student development, she earnestly fulfills her responsibilities, pays close attention to students’ growth, and devotes herself to ethnic unity education, earning the title of Advanced Individual in Ethnic Unity.
Additionally, she actively participates in the administrative work of the Academic Affairs Office, taking the initiative in curriculum scheduling, program development and discipline evaluation, and contributing to the improvement of the school’s educational quality.
Over the past four years, Li Na has been named Municipal Excellent Worker twice and School-level Excellent Homeroom Teacher three times, winning high praise from both students and colleagues.
In recent years, responding actively to the national call, our college has encouraged graduates to build their careers at the grassroots level through various initiatives such as policy promotion and alumni sharing sessions, fostering a number of exemplary role models.
This award once again not only affirms our college’s efforts in promoting grassroots employment but also recognizes the effectiveness of our employment-oriented education across the institution.
The college will continue to select and promote advanced models, guide graduates to establish a sound outlook on career development and employment, and inspire more young people to dedicate their youth and make contributions in grassroots positions.

Sponsored by China Three Gorges Corporation and established by the China Education Development Foundation, the University Graduates Excellence Scholarship (Award) for Grassroots Employment is guided by the Department of College Students Affairs (Department of College Graduate Employment Services) of the Ministry of Education and the China Center for Student Services and Development. Now in its third year, the award aims to recognize outstanding university graduates who have dedicated themselves to grassroots work, demonstrated professionalism and made remarkable contributions.
