Diao Hongbin is elected Vice President of the Tourism Education Branch of China Tourism Association

The 5th Session of the 4th Council of the Tourism Education Branch of China Tourism Association (CTA) and the China Tourism Education Forum were held in Guilin from November 15 to 18. Diao Hongbin, Party Secretary of the college, led a delegation to attend the event and was elected Vice President of the branch.

Guided by CTA and hosted by its Tourism Education Branch, the forum was undertaken by Guilin Tourism University under the theme Digital Intelligence Leading the Renewal of Tourism Education.

The meeting released the 2025 Work Report of the Tourism Education Branch of CTA, systematically summarizing its efforts in advancing the construction of a powerful tourism education nation, deepening brand competitions to empower talent cultivation, and strengthening industry-education integration (a collaborative model integrating vocational education with industry practices) to support industrial upgrading.

Our practices and data in faculty training, discipline development, skill competitions, and industry-education integration were repeatedly cited as examples during the meeting. It was awarded the 2025 Excellent Member Unit and will host the 4th National Tourism College Tourism Product Planning Competition in 2026.

This event provided important references for the college to further deepen tourism education reform, promote professional development, and improve talent training quality. Adhering to high-quality development, the college will actively integrate into the national strategy of building a powerful tourism education nation and contribute wisdom to the high-quality development of China's tourism education.

Nearly 400 participants attended the forum, including experts, scholars, distinguished guests, and member representatives from across the country. Leaders and teachers from the college's School of Hospitality Management and School of Culture&Tourism also participated in the relevant activities.
