The 5th Shandong University Students Internet + Health & Wellness Tourism Competition, part of the 17th Shandong University Students Science and Technology Festival, was held in Yantai recently.
Co-sponsored by six authorities including Shandong Association for Science and Technology and Shandong Provincial Department of Education, the competition aims to build an innovation and entrepreneurship practice platform for college students in the province.
It guides young students to solidly advance the strategies of strengthening Shandong through science and education and revitalizing Shandong through talents, contributing to the construction of Chinese-style modernization via innovative practices.
Five competition tracks were set up: health and wellness tourism route design, study tour, big data + smart tourism, tourism new media operation, and tourism safety medical science popularization.
our entries closely aligned with industry realities, demonstrating strong application value and the practical characteristics of vocational education. With solid professional foundations and outstanding practical abilities, the students performed excellently in all competition stages and achieved remarkable results.
This competition provided a broad platform for teachers and students to engage in professional exchanges, skill demonstrations, and collaborative talent development.
The School of Culture and Tourism will continue to deepen the education mechanism of promoting teaching, learning, reform, and construction through competitions, continuously improve students' professional quality and innovative capabilities, and further contribute vocational education strength to Shandong's goal of building a northern health and wellness tourism center.
