The National Finals of the 5th Cesim Elite National Hotel Management Simulation Competition (Vocational College Group), hosted by the Tourism Education Branch of China Tourism Association, concluded recently.
A delegation from the School of Hospitality Management achieved remarkable results, winning 1 Grand Prize, 1 First Prize, 3 Second Prizes, and the Outstanding Hotel Professional Demeanor Individual Award.
This victory marks our fifth consecutive championship in the competition, solidifying its glorious track record. Additionally, faculty members Zhang Feng and Yin Xiaolong were honored with the Excellent Instructor Award.
Spanning nearly two months, the competition encompassed multiple stages, including digital hotel operation simulation, financial budgeting, marketing, business plan development, and roadshow defense. It comprehensively replicated the real operational environment of modern hotel groups, requiring participating teams to not only achieve profitability amid fierce market competition but also demonstrate exceptional leadership and emergency decision-making capabilities during crisis scenarios.
The team Three Gems & One Gentleman – composed of students Li Yihan, Wang Xiang, Wang Ning, and Ying Kaiyuan – stood out among 50 teams from 22 provinces nationwide, claiming the national championship and the Grand Prize.
In recent years, the college has continuously optimized its talent training model and curriculum system, with a focus on fostering students’ high-order competencies such as digital thinking, systematic hotel operation logic, and business innovation. The college actively encourages students to participate in domestic management competitions, and its five consecutive championships since the competition’s inception fully demonstrate the high quality and innovation of its talent cultivation.
The college will continue to lead in digital hotel simulation teaching, contributing more intelligent, professional, and high-caliber talents to the industry.
