Golden Dolphin Volunteer Service Team wins acclaim

Since October, the Golden Dolphin Volunteer Service Team of the college has provided services for two national-level events: the 28th China International Fisheries Expo, China International Aquaculture Expo, and the 9th National Vocational Skills Competition for Disabled Elite.

It has interpreted the volunteer spirit of dedication, friendship, mutual assistance and progress through practical actions and demonstrated the effectiveness of the collage's practice-oriented education work.

The 9th National Vocational Skills Competition for Disabled Elite concluded at Qingdao Guoxin Hongdao International Convention and Exhibition Center on October 16. The award ceremony etiquette volunteers of Golden Dolphin completed the etiquette services for the closing ceremony with a zero-error performance. Their dignified demeanor and meticulous movements added a bright touch to the event. Qingdao Disabled Persons' Federation specially sent a letter to the college, praising the volunteers for conveying equality and respect with professional quality and warming the special group with youthful enthusiasm.

During the 28th China International Fisheries Expo and China International Aquaculture Expo held from October 29 to 31, the Golden Dolphin Volunteer Service Team undertook various tasks such as foreign guest reception and booth guidance. Relying on the standardized service skills and cross-cultural communication capabilities of the hotel management major, the volunteers provided accurate services for exhibitors from more than 40 countries and regions around the world, and won high praise from the organizing committee for being efficient, professional and warm.

Through the school-enterprise collaboration mechanism, the Golden Dolphin Volunteer Service Team has cooperated with enterprises such as Guoxin Hotel to design service processes, enabling volunteers to apply the knowledge of courses such as Customer Relationship Management in real scenarios.

These two volunteer service activities mark another large-scale and professional appearance of the Golden Dolphin Team on the international stage, following major events such as the 27th Fisheries Expo and Qingdao Marathon.

The professional empowerment plus cultural output model of the Golden Dolphin Volunteer Service Team has become a benchmark case for the practice-oriented education of the School of Hospitality Management.

The School of Hospitality Management will continue to deepen the brand building of Golden Dolphin and promote the two-way linkage between volunteer services and industrial needs.
