The Inheriting 80 Years of Glory, Forging Dreams with Youth New Talent Showcase Contest of the School of Hotel Management was held in the Gymnasium on October 16.
Closely linked to the theme of the college's 80th anniversary, the contest guided freshmen to perceive inheritance through artistic creation and achieve the soft landing of cultural identity, from preliminary planning to program arrangement.
Seventeen finalist teams, selected through rigorous screening, demonstrated the outstanding demeanor and solid foundation of the new generation of hotel management students in diverse forms. Programs such as the vocal performance Chi Ling (Red Artist), the recitation That Year, Chinese Youth Were 18, the adapted song A Promise Once Made Is Unbreakable and the etiquette show Extraordinary Steps received enthusiastic applause.
Breaking the boundaries of traditional stages, the contest meticulously set up military training commendation, interactive games and lucky draw sessions. The commendation session strengthened the leading role of role models and stimulated collective sense of honor; the interactive design broke the barrier between performers and audiences, deepened friendship among classmates and sense of belonging to the school in laughter, transforming the contest venue into an educational field for emotional integration and value co-construction.
After fierce competition and professional evaluation, the contest finally selected first, second, third prizes and excellence awards. Each trophy is not only a recognition of artistic talent, but also an encouragement to the contestants' comprehensive quality and spiritual outlook displayed in cultural edification, which confirms the fruitful results of the cultural education and activity-based education approach.
