The North China Division of the Hotel Digital Operation and Marketing Event under the 2025 Belt and Road & BRICS National Skills Development and Technological Innovation Competition was held in Hebei Province from September 25 to 27.

At this division competition, two students from the School of Hospitality Management—Han Xinjie and Yan Huixin—claimed the First Prize in the Student Group. Meanwhile, two faculty members from the same school, Zhang Peng and Mu Lin, secured the Second Place in the Teacher Group. Both the student and teacher teams have successfully advanced to the National Final of the competition.

During the event, our two participating teams delivered exceptional performances across three modules. Leveraging their solid professional foundations, proficient technical application skills, and rigorous analytical planning, they fully demonstrated the outstanding digital operation capabilities and artificial intelligence (AI) literacy of the college’s faculty and students.

This year marks the second edition of the Hotel Digital Operation and Marketing Event. It attracted 31 representative teams from Hebei Province, Henan Province, Shandong Province, and Tianjin Municipality, emerging as a key platform to evaluate the professional skills, digital thinking, and AI literacy of institutions of higher education and vocational schools in the region.

The achievements not only represent high recognition of the professional competence of the faculty and students but also serve as a significant testament to the college’s progress in advancing digital reform of professional teaching.

Taking this competition as a catalyst, the School of Hospitality Management will further deepen the upgrading of its teaching model. Focusing on core areas such as AI technology application and hotel digital operations, the school will optimize its curriculum system, continuously enhance students’ AI literacy and practical digital skills, cultivate more high-quality digital talents for the hotel industry, and inject strong impetus into the college’s high-quality and connotative development.
