Wang Yadong—an outstanding graduate of the college and a contestant from Qingdao International Conference Center—secured the Merit Award with an exceptional performance under the guidance of our professional team in the Restaurant Service (National Competition Selection) event of the 3rd National Vocational Skills Competition of the People’s Republic of China.
In preparation for this competition, the college assembled an experienced team of instructor teachers, who provided the contestants from Qingdao International Conference Center with systematic and professional pre-competition guidance. Aligned closely with the competition requirements, the guidance covered five modules: banquet theme design proposal & theme styling, themed banquet table setting, service skills, plated service, and comprehensive quality.
The instructor team integrated cutting-edge service concepts, rigorous operational standards, and the actual operational characteristics of enterprises. They focused on enhancing the contestant’s capabilities in creative design, detail control, and on-site adaptability, effectively promoting the all-round improvement of his service skills and professional quality.
Notably, in the themed banquet design module, the instructor team assisted the contestant in delving deep into cultural connotations, perfectly combining creative concepts with practicality. This ensured the banquet scene was not only aesthetically appealing but also complied with the procedural standards of high-end services. For highly practical modules such as plated service, the team emphasized the standardization, humanization, and elegance of services, ensuring every movement reflected professional standards.
This year’s competition featured a total of 106 events, consisting of 66 selection events for the WorldSkills Competition and 40 National Competition Selection events. Covering multiple fields including smart agriculture, intelligent manufacturing, modern services, and digital technology, it attracted 3,420 contestants in total.
Wang Yadong’s outstanding performance not only demonstrates his exquisite professional skills but also fully confirms the solid foundation and effectiveness of the college’s talent cultivation. Furthermore, it represents another successful practice of the college leveraging its professional advantages to accurately meet enterprise needs and support the improvement of employees’ comprehensive quality.
The college will continue to deepen the integration of industry and education, rely on its professional strength to actively serve regional economic development, provide talent and intellectual support for more cooperative enterprises, and jointly contribute to the development of a team of high-quality technical and skilled talents.
