The college held the Summary and Commendation Ceremony for the freshmen military training at the stadium on September 12th, showcasing the training achievements and commending outstanding collectives and individuals.
The ceremony kicked off with the solemn national anthem. Instructors of the freshmen military training regiment presided over the formation drill. The students punched powerfully, moved standardizedly, and looked determined, demonstrating the results of the military training with their neat and uniform posture.
On behalf of the college, Diao Hongbin expressed sincere gratitude to all instructors, counselors, and faculty members, and extended warm congratulations to all students who successfully completed the military training tasks.
He stated that the students have transformed from newcomers who marveled at the beauty of the campus upon entering the college into new recruits who sweated profusely on the training ground, vowing to overcome all difficulties. The unique youthfulness and unity were touching. Everyone handed in the first qualified answer sheet of their college life through the formation drill with firm will.
He advised the freshmen to carry the tenacity and perseverance endowed by the military training into their study and life, promote the college motto of Diligence, Sincerity, Intelligence, Elegance and the college spirit of Love, Strength, Responsibility, face challenges fearlessly, and strive for greater achievements.
Diao Hongbin presented a silk banner to the training unit, expressing sincere thanks for its long-term strong support for the college's military training work and high respect for the instructors' selfless dedication.
Han Xiqing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, read out the decision on commending the military training, hoping that the awarded advanced collectives and outstanding individuals would keep forging ahead in their future development.
This year's military training coincided with the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. All freshmen watched the military parade together, witnessing the country's prosperity and the military's might. During the training, all students successfully completed all scheduled subjects with the spirit of never admitting defeat and never giving up.
The instructors organized and conducted training scientifically in accordance with the regulations, successfully completing the training of subjects such as queue movements, small arms shooting, tactics, basic combat, battlefield medical rescue, nuclear, biological and chemical protection, and emergency assembly, fully demonstrating the fine style and excellent skills of contemporary soldiers.
After the military training, this period of time filled with sweat and glory will become a new starting point, enabling the passionate freshmen to embark on a new chapter of campus life confidently.
