The ceremony for appointing Professor Wang Baowei as a distinguished professor of the college was held in the conference room of the Administration Building on September 8th.
At the appointment ceremony, Diao Hongbin, Secretary of the Party Committee of the college, presented the letter of appointment as a distinguished professor to Professor Wang Baowei. He extended a warm welcome and gratitude to Professor Wang for accepting the appointment, affirmed and appreciated his outstanding achievements and extensive influence in his research field. He expressed the expectation that both sides would carry out in-depth cooperation in the fields of nutrition and health, food research and development, so as to provide strong support for the college's faculty team, scientific research, professional development etc., and promote the high-quality development of the college.
Professor Wang said that in his future work, he would do his best to give full play to his own advantages and influence, provide support for the college in academic research, team building and talent training, and contribute to the development of the college.
Before the appointment ceremony, Professor Wang gave a special report to the college's teachers entitled On How Young Teachers Can Embark on the Road to Success. Combining his own life experience, he systematically expounded the key paths for the growth of young teachers from multiple dimensions such as defining goals, being loyal to the cause, focusing on hot issues, and team cooperation, encouraging young teachers to firm their ideals and beliefs, continuously improve their professional abilities, abide by teachers' ethics and styles, and devote themselves to the educational mission with love and responsibility.
About professor Wang Baowei
Professor Wang Baowei, a national excellent teacher, the Most Beautiful Teacher in Qilu, and an expert enjoying the special government allowance of the State Council, is a second-level professor and graduate supervisor of Qingdao Agricultural University. He has served as the Dean of the School of Animal Science and Technology, the Dean of the School of Food Science and Engineering, a member of the Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, and a post scientist of the National Modern Agricultural Industry Technology System. He currently serves as the Chairman of Qingdao Society of Food Science and Technology.
