The Final of the Tourism Track (Higher Vocational Group) at the 2025 World Vocational College Skills Competition was held at Zhejiang Tourism College from August 24 to 27. Our college's team composed of Shao Xiaoyuan, Lu Jiayu, Shan Quan, and Yang Qingjie, won the Gold Award; another team, consisting of Zhang Haoying, Ma Qianhui, Zhang Lingge, and Jiang Xiran, won the Silver Award.
The Tourism Track (Higher Vocational Group) event covered key areas of the entire industrial chain such as accommodation, entertainment, and business services, highlighting a practical-oriented approach. It attracted 174 teams nationwide, involving more than 1,300 teachers and students.
Combining their professional knowledge and educational practice, the participating teams independently determined their entries based on real problems and scenarios in production, management, and frontline service. They competed fiercely in core skills of tourism and hotel services, fully demonstrating high-standard professional literacy and practical skills.
Our college's gold-winning project Intelligent Enjoyment of Wine Charm · Revitalizing Fine Wines adhered to the concept of industry-education integration, which emphasizes enterprises raising questions, schools and enterprises jointly solving them, and the market evaluating the results. The project addressed operational pain points of winery experience centers to improve service quality and deepened industry-education integration through innovative measures. The silver-winning project Digital Intelligence for Health Care · Enjoying Health created an innovative accommodation model of technology plus health care plus sojourn for the homestay industry, integrating intelligent health management deeply into homestay scenarios. Both projects received unanimous praise from the judges in terms of skill level and innovation and creativity.
On August 28, Secretary Diao Hongbin and President Jiang Yupeng welcomed the teachers and students
back triumphantly.
Taking this competition as a new opportunity, the School of Hospitality Management will focus on cultivating high-skilled talents who meet the new needs of technological transformation and industrial development. It will fully demonstrate the achievements of vocational education and the demeanor of skilled talents, and strongly promote the high-quality development of professional talent cultivation.
