The 18th College Sports Meeting kicked off heatedly at the stadium on April 28th.
At the opening ceremony, accompanied by the passionate Athlete March, each team made their debut in neat and uniform paces. The sonorous slogans and distinctive performances vividly interpreted the fighting spirit and vigorous demeanor of the school's teachers and students.
Li Da, Secretary of the Party Committee, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. The school launched the 2025 Weight Management Campaign, issuing an initiative to all teachers and students to strengthen physical exercise and pay attention to weight health. He emphasized that a healthy body is the foundation for all learning and work, as well as a solid guarantee for the school's connotative high-quality development. It is hoped that all teachers and students will respect life, pursue health, and love life through sports.
The group calisthenics Youth Loves Sports, Health Towards the Future demonstrated the vibrant vitality unique to youth through creative choreography and agile performances.
After the opening ceremony, the competition events of the sports meeting began. The leaping figures of the athletes interpreted the eternal true meaning of sportsmanship and struggle.
Gong Enlong, Vice President of the school, presided over the opening and closing ceremonies of the sports meeting. At the closing ceremony held on the 29th, Xia Fei, the chief referee of the sports meeting, announced the team total scores: the School of Business Administration, the School of Hotel Management, and the School of Culinary Arts won the top three in the student group total scores; the Basic Department&Marxism School, the School of Art, and the School of Hospitality Management won the top three in the faculty group total scores.
Han Xiqing, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, announced the list of Spiritual Civilization Award winners: the School of Accounting, the School of Culinary Arts, and the School of Art won the Spiritual Civilization Award in the student group; the School of Hospitality Management and the School of Business Administration won the Spiritual Civilization Award in the faculty group. School leaders presented pennants to the schools that won the top three in the team total scores and the Spiritual Civilization Award.
Jiang Yupeng, President of the school, delivered a speech at the closing ceremony and announced the closure of the sports meeting. He extended warm congratulations to the teams and individuals who achieved excellent results, as well as the collectives that won the Spiritual Civilization Award. It is hoped that everyone will transform the spirit of teamwork into growth momentum, and welcome future challenges with a strong physique and firm to achieve new and greater achievements in their respective positions and fields. He emphasized that the college will continue to promote the reform of physical education, so that the concept of health first takes root in the hearts of the people, and one hour of exercise every day becomes a habit, which makes sports an important foundation of campus culture.
It is reported that a total of 1,663 teachers and students participated in 61 events in this sports meeting, and nearly 660 people won individual and collective awards, achieving new sports results.
With high enthusiasm from all teachers and students, countless shining and unforgettable moments were frozen in time amid the collision of speed and passion, and the bloom of youth and prime time.
