The college hosts launching ceremony of Qingdao's first “Skill Star” Vocational Skills Competition

The launching ceremony of Qingdao's first Skill Star Vocational Skills Competition was held at the college on April 25th. The competition builds a skills display platform under the theme of Star-Shining Qingdao, Technology-Creating Future.

President Jiang Yupeng briefly introduced the school's development history, specialty construction, and technical talent cultivation. He stated that the school will rely on a special working group to strengthen organizational support, ensure fair competition, optimize service experience, and strive to make the event a grand gathering for technical talent exchange and display in accordance with the competition organizing committee's requirements.

Huang Tonghua, Second-Level Inspector of Qingdao Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, delivered a speech and announced the competition's launch. Meanwhile, the 17th Qingdao Vocational Skills Competition summary conference was held to review the competition's overall situation, award medals, honor certificates, and plaques to winners and institutes, with representatives of award-winning contestants and excellent organizing institutes delivering speeches.

Co-hosted by 10 departments including Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, the competition builds a skills display platform under the theme of Star-Shining Qingdao, Technology-Creating Future. Student contestants who rank top three in each event will be awarded the title of Qingdao Skill Star by the Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security; contestants winning gold, silver, bronze medals, or excellence awards with qualified results will receive vocational skill level certificates as per regulations.

Based on preliminary applications, the school will host three events: Chinese Cuisine Chef, Tourism Cultural and Creative Product Design, and Digital Construction. After the launch ceremony, the Chinese Cuisine Chef event officially began, with 90 secondary vocational students majoring in Chinese cuisine from across the city registered to participate.
