The college successfully organized 5 national vocational teacher training programs under Yunnans Vocational College Teacher Quality Improvement Plan, with sessions held simultaneously in Qingdao and Kunming. A total of 150 backbone teachers from secondary and higher vocational institutions in Yunnan participated in the month-long training and successfully completed the programs.

This training initiative stood out for its multiple projects, extended duration, and cross-regional implementation. Four programs were conducted in Kunming, including Modular Curriculum Development Study Visits for higher vocational tourism discipline leaders, Enterprise Practice Programs for secondary/higher vocational teachers in tourism, civil engineering & architecture, and resources/environment/safety fields.

Collaborating with organizations such as the Yunnan Tourism Association, the college delivered enterprise practice training to 100 participants, setting a new institutional record for cross-provincial program scale and trainee numbers.

The training covered three major disciplines (tourism, civil engineering & architecture, and resources/environment/safety) and incorporated diverse formats such as study visits, IT application skill enhancement, and enterprise practice. The project team highlighted the strengths of Shandongs vocational education and the distinctive features of QVTCHM. By leveraging Yunnans local educational resources, they designed tailored, outcome-driven curricula and invited experts from industries, enterprises, and universities to deliver instruction.

The School of Continuing Education will refine its practices in cross-regional and dual-location collaborative training, aiming to build an East-West vocational training partnership and further elevate the colleges reputation as a leading brand in vocational teacher development.
