Deborah Young, Vice President of Ara Institute of Canterbury, along with her delegation, visited the college on March 17.
President Jiang Yupeng welcomed the guests and provided a brief introduction to the college's history, academic programs, distinctive features, and achievements in international collaboration. He emphasized the college's commitment to open education and expressed hope that this visit would serve as an opportunity to establish a cooperative and friendly relationship between the two institutions. He proposed discussing collaboration models based on the principles of equality, mutual benefit, and win-win cooperation, with the goal of deepening cooperation in areas such as international talent development, joint program development, and mutual recognition of curriculum standards.
Deborah Young provided an overview of Ara Institute of Canterbury's educational profile, program features, and international exchange initiatives. She stated that this visit marks the formal establishment of ties between the two institutions and expressed her anticipation for leveraging complementary strengths to create a broader platform for international exchange for students and faculty from both colleges.
Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions and consultations on topics such as collaboration models and the application for joint educational programs.
Jiang Yupeng, on behalf of the college, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Ara Institute of Canterbury.
During their visit, Deborah Young and her delegation toured the college's practical training facilities, including the culinary training base, the Cainiao Post Station, and the Hismile Digital Hotel. They highly praised our advanced vocational education philosophy, outstanding achievements, and well-equipped teaching facilities.
