The 4th Council of Tourism Education Branch of China Tourism Association(CTA) and China Tourism Education Forum were held in Urumqi from 8 to 10 November, and President Jiang Yupeng, Vice President of the Branch, led a team to participate in the activities.
The Council was guided by the CTA and Tourism Education Branch of CTA, hosted by the School of Tourism of Xinjiang University, and Xinjiang Key Laboratory of Sustainable Development of Historical and Cultural Tourism.
With the theme “a new journey towards the completion of the strategic goal of building China into a great power in education in the new era, the participants discussed the construction of the high quality of the tourism education system with Chinese characteristics, and solidly promote the construction of a strong tourism education key tasks.
In the main forum session, Jiang Yupeng, as the representative of national tourism vocational education, made a keynote speech on “Development Trend and Prospect of China's Tourism Vocational Education”.
Shi Meishan, dean of the School of Culture&Tourism, participated in the round-table dialogue of the parallel forum on ‘Creating the Spirit of Tourism Educators and Enhancing the Leadership of Ideological and Political Education’.
During the conference, the “China Tourism Education Blue Book 2023-2024” and “2024 Report on Big Data Analysis of the Development Scale of China's Hospitality Industry” were released, and the practices and data of the college on talent cultivation, discipline construction, skill competitions, and industry-teaching integration were cited as evidence many times.
The college was awarded the 2024 Outstanding Governing Unit.
Nearly 400 people attended the conference, including experts and scholars, special guests, and member representatives from all over the country.
