Shandong Tourism Hotel Industry B&B Housekeeper Vocational Skills Event of 2024 Shandong Province “Skills Prosper Shandong” Vocational Skills Competition was successfully held in our college on October 12-13.
The competition was organized by Shandong Province Tourist Hotel Association and Shandong Province Finance and Trade Union. The competition aims to carry forward the spirit of innovation, craftsmanship, labor spirit, promote learning, training, construction, talent through races, and accelerate the construction of high-skilled personnel in the lodging industry.
The competition adheres to the characteristics of vocational education, educates people, designs the competition around the national vocational standard of B&B housekeeper and the requirements of the real work process of enterprises, and comprehensively promotes the “post-course-race-certificate integration” by assessing the theoretical knowledge and skill level of B&B practitioners.
The competition consists of two parts: theory assessment and skill operation, involving three modules: theory test, planning service projects and making emergency plans, covering the core skills and professionalism required for the typical job tasks of B&B housekeepers, and requiring participants to plan and promote B&B special activities according to the situation and to make emergency plans for all kinds of emergencies.
The school attaches great importance to the hosting of the competition, the formation of a team of backbone teachers and the student volunteer team. To study the event rules and regulations and the process, we have organized a number of tournament training.
This competition for the province's lodging industry practitioners to build a mutual exchange, show style, improve service skills of the exchange platform, is to strengthen the lodging industry in Shandong Province, the specific practice of skilled personnel team building.
Next, the school will continue to uphold the concept of “integration of industry and education, science and education convergence”, build a “government, school and enterprise” collaborative education platform to promote the high-quality development of the B&B industry.
