The 14th President Cup English Drama Competition jointly organized by the Academic Affairs Office and the Department of Basic Teaching came to an end on April 18.
The competition lasted for one month, and 10 teams were selected to participate in the final round after the preliminary and final rounds. In the final, the actors and actresses demonstrated their natural and fluent lines and exquisite performances, showing their good English skills.
The drama King Wu Exalted Zhou of School of Business Administration won the first place, and the best speaking award was given to Sumaier Yemu Abudusaimaiti of School of Hospitality Management. Wang Ran of School of Accounting won the best performance award, and the best organization award was given to School of Information Engineering and Technology.
The English Drama Competition provides a platform for students to show themselves and creates a good atmosphere for English learning. The cooperation of the contestants in the process of scripting, rehearsing and performing, as well as their pursuit of excellence, effectively stimulate their motivation and enthusiasm for learning English.
