The college wins the second prize of Culinary Event

The Culinary Event of 2023 National Vocational College Skills Competition (Higher Vocational Group) was held in Shunde Polytechnic from July 27 to 30, and we won the second prize with the banquet works.

The competition was organized by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Guangdong Province, with a total of 208 contestants from 52 higher vocational colleges and universities across the country participating in the competition.

This is a group competition, using a table banquet design, production and display mode, through the banquet design book planning, basic skills demonstration, banquet dishes production, on-site presentation and defense, banquet booth effect, etc., which is a comprehensive examination of the basic skills of the players, the banquet innovation design ability, dish production ability, kitchen management ability and teamwork ability.

The team of students from the School of Culinary Arts, consisting of Zhu Yanze, Wang Lin, Wang Junhao and Sun Zuyao, won the second prize with the banquet works Rustic Sentiment-Flowers Blooming.

The results of this competition fully demonstrated Double High-level Program construction and education and teaching reform results of the catering major.
