The final of the 10th Young College Teachers Teaching Competition of Shandong province came to a close recently. Teachers from our college won one first prize and three second prizes, ranking among the top colleges in the province and winning the championship for the 5th consecutive year.
After the preliminary and semi-final rounds, a total of 154 teachers from 87 colleges participated in the finals. The competition included four categories: humanities, science, engineering, and medicine. Each contestant was required to submit a teaching syllabus for the competition course, a teaching design plan for 20 class hours, and corresponding teaching segment PPTs. In the final stage, contestants randomly selected a teaching segment, conducted a simulated classroom teaching, and wrote a teaching reflection. Five judges scored the classroom teaching and teaching reflection separately.
Kang Yin from the School of Hotel Engineering won the first prize in the engineering category, Sun Li and Li Nan from the School of Accounting won the second prize in the humanities category, and Liu Taibiao from the School of Hotel Engineering won the second prize in the engineering category.
In recent years, our school has continuously improved the system for cultivating young teachers and strengthened their teaching ability and level. We motivate young teachers to focus on teaching and fully utilize teaching competitions as a leading and exemplary role in improving the quality of the teaching staff to support the high-quality development of the college.
