The 13th National Tourism College Service Skills Competition (Hotel Service) kicks off at QVTCHM

The 13th National Tourism College Service Skills Competition (Hotel Service)  opened in the Academic Lecture Hall of the college on May 11th.

This competition is guided by the Market Management Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the China Tourism Association(CTA), hosted by the Tourism Education Branch of the CTA, and organized by our college.

The aim is to deeply study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, cultivate skilled and applied talents, promote high-quality development of education, and enhance the strength of tourism education to support the development of the tourism industry.

At the opening ceremony, representatives of the contestants and judges take oaths respectively.

In this competition, a total of 716 participants from 220 colleges and teams of 27 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the central government signed up to participate.

A total of 48 authoritative experts were hired as judges to ensure the fairness, impartiality, and openness of the competition. 

The competition consists of four events: Western banquet table-setting, Chinese banquet table-setting, cocktail preparation, and housekeeping service. The competition is divided into three stages: comprehensive knowledge and theoretical assessment, practical operation, and English proficiency testing, aiming to test students' comprehensive abilities. The competition highlights the needs of the industry and aims to provide talent support for the high-quality development of China's tourism industry in the new era.

Guests from the government and enterprises attended the opening ceremony, and leaders, instructors, and participants from 220 colleges participated.
