The College held the opening ceremony and military training summary and commendation meeting for students of class 2020 in the stadium on the morning of October 23. More than 5000 students gathered together to open a new chapter in college life.
Li Da, Secretary of the Party committee of the college, Jiang Yupeng, President of the college, members of the college's leading group, representatives of students' parents, leaders,all counselors, class teachers of freshmen of all departments, and all freshmen attended the opening ceremony, which was presided over by Gong Enlong, vice president of the college.
President Jiang Yupeng gave a speech entitled cherish the dream, live up to our youth, and be a new generation of the times worthy of the great task of national rejuvenation. On behalf of the college, President Jiang extended a warm welcome to new students. He put forward three requirements for the new students. First, they should cherish their country and the world, and cultivate patriotic feelings. Second, they should cherish our youth and carefully plan our three-year college life, make progress every day. The third is to work hard to practice the school motto of diligence, truth, spirit and elegance, inherit the school spirit of love, strength and responsibility, spread the smile culture.
President Jiang Yupeng pointed out that military training is the first and compulsory course in universities. He hoped that the students would bring the good style of work during military training to their future study and life to make more achievements.
Jiang Lingling, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of the college, read out the list of military training model camp, military training model platoon, internal affairs model platoon, excellent instructors, military training model soldiers and internal affairs model soldiers, and the leaders of the college awarded awards.
