We were selected into the high-level vocational colleges and specilty construction plans with Chinese characteristics (referred to as the Double High Program), according to the notice of Ministry of education and the Ministry of Finance.
We’ll focus on the specialty group of hotel management which is the only hotel management project of the Double High Plan.
The specialty group of hotel management includes four majors: hotel management, culinary arts and nutrition, tourism management, and exhibition planning and management. The specialty group will focus on serving the national supply-side structural reform and Shandong's major strategy of new and old kinetic energy transformation. We’ll implement the basic task of building people by virtue, deepen the integration of industry and education, and school enterprise cooperation. We’ll focus on the cultivation of high-quality and innovative talents who can be engaged in hotel management, catering management, tourism planning, and exhibition management.
Being selected into the Double High Program marks the new stage of our development. We’ll work hard to build a first-class domestic and internationally famous brand of general vocational education in the hotel industry, and become a cradle of professional talents in the hospitality industry in China.
About Double High Program
The Double High Program is a major decision made by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council to promote the modernization of China's education. The Ministry of education and the Ministry of Finance jointly study, formulate and implement the Double High Program, and a total of 197 high-level vocational schools with Chinese characteristics and specialty groups are determined. The Double High Program aims to focus on building a group of vocational schools and specialty groups with Chinese characteristics and world level to lead the reform and support development. The national plan is to focus on the construction of about 50 high-level vocational schools and about 150 high-level specialty groups which cover the areas of modern agriculture, advanced manufacturing industry, modern service industry, strategic emerging industry.
