The 2nd IT Innovation and Application Competition of New Generation was held in Shandong Vocational and Technical College of communications from October 27 to 29. The Dept. of Hotel Engineering sent two teams to participate in the competition, which won the champion of the project of construction and decoration engineering measurement, as well as the first and third prizes of the group.
This competition, co-sponsored by Dept. of Education, Dept. of Industry and IT and other departments of Shandong Province, is one of the competitions of Skills Prosper Shandong vocational skill competition, with 103 teams from undergraduate universities and vocational colleges participating in it. Based on the actual engineering cases, the competition simulates the actual work scene to the greatest extent, realizes the BIM coordination among the architectural majors in colleges. It also improves the students' whole process cost management practice and innovation ability, and enhances the students' team cooperation ability.
The results of this competition are a comprehensive test of the professional ability training results of the students in the Dept. of Hotel Engineering. Relying on the professional student associations, the project cost specialty adopts the multi-level progressive talent training mode, introduces the 1 + X BIM industry certification standard, which realizes the output of high-end customized talents.
