The final of the 10th FLTRP Cup “FLTRP Cup” National English Writing Contest for Vocational College Students in Shandong Province was held in Shandong Foreign Trade Vocational College recently. Zhao Yuhong and Kong Shuwen won the top prize and the second prize of the public English group respectively.
This contest is jointly sponsored by Shandong Provincial Department of Education and FLTRP. It mainly examines students' English written communication, information extraction, logical analysis, humanistic thinking and related literacy. The Dept. of Basic Courses has carefully conducted careful selection and training, and selected Zhao Yuhong, Kong Shuwen and Hu shuangshuang to participate in the contest on behalf of the college. During the competition, the students did a great job. Zhao Yuhong stood out from more than 140 competitors in the public English group and she will go to Beijing in early December to participate in the national finals.
Through this contest, the students' English writing ability has been improved, which has also played a good role in promoting the College English teaching reform.
