The opening ceremony of welcoming international students from Cambodia was held on October 17. Vice president Wang Jianbao and Zhou Li, Director of the International Office attended the ceremony. Two international students from Regional Polytechnic Institute Techo Sen Siem Reap attended the event and received entrance education.
At the ceremony, Wang Jianbao extended a warm welcome to the overseas students. He introduced learning courses and cultural experience activities arranged for international students this semester, so that they could experience the local culture and customs and deepen their understanding of Chinese language and culture. Mr. Wang hoped that they would become youth messengers of cultural exchange and civilization communication between China and Cambodia.
The overseas students expressed their gratitude for the careful arrangement of the college. They said that they would adapt to their life and study in China as soon as possible, and do a good job in the exchange envoys between two countries and two colleges.
After the ceremony, Li yunyun, a teacher from the Dept. of Basic Education, and Sun Liyan, a teacher from the International Office, conducted entrance education for overseas students. They explained the teaching management, dormitory management, safety education and so on in detail. Foreign students will systematically learn Chinese conversation, Chinese language and other language courses, as well as some targeted cultural experience activities.
About the Cooperation between Regional Polytechnic Institute Techo Sen Siem Reap and QVTCHM
We signed a memorandum of cooperation at the China ASEAN International Forum on Vocational Education on July 23, 2019. This is the first batch of inter school exchange students sent by both sides. After one year's language learning, the overseas students will apply for the major of tourism management and related major of hotel engineering of our college for academic study. The successful admission of Kampuchea students is also a useful attempt to actively serve the BRI, promote cultural exchanges between China and Cambodia.
