Yan Hongkai and his delegation of the Cross-Strait Exchange Department of Meiho University，MU Taiwan, came to visit and exchange with us on September 2. Vice President Wang Jianbao and Zhou Li，Director of international Office warmly received visitors.
During the talks, Wang Jianbao warmly welcomed Yan Hongkai's first visit. He briefed the guests on the basic situation, specialty settings, school-running characteristics and foreign exchanges of our college. He said that in line with the concept of one family on both sides of the Taiwan Straits, the exchange and cooperation between universities in Taiwan and our college is in a good state. He hoped that the two sides could play their respective advantages on the basis of previous exchanges and realize the sharing and complementarity of high-quality educational resources. Yan Hongkai thanked us for our warm reception. He introduced the basic situation of MU Taiwan and the latest trends in cross-strait exchanges. He said that MU Taiwan fully affirmed the advantages of our college in the field of catering and tourism. He hoped that excellent chef teachers from our college would teach Shandong cuisine in Taiwan and train their students Shandong cuisine in our college, the cooperation between the two sides in Shandong cuisine could come true and the Chinese cuisine could be inherited jointly.
Subsequently, the two sides conducted in-depth discussions on teaching management, student exchanges and other aspects.
During the visit, Yan Hongkai and his delegation, accompanied by Zhou Li, visited the Dept. Of Culinary Arts and the Training Center of the Dept. of Tourism and Hotel Management. They highly appraised our advanced school-running idea, outstanding achievements and perfect training facilities.
