The 4th World Culinary Art Festival of China was held in Qingdao International Conference Center with the theme of Kungfu and ingenuity from June 23 to 25. We were selected as the 2019 Culinary Education Achievement Award by the World Federation of Chinese Food Industry. Wang Guiyun won the Artist of Chinese Food Chef Award.
During this festival, more than 1000 famous chefs and catering professionals from more than 40 countries and regions gathered together to carry out thematic activities such as cooking competitions, industry summits, forums and stage art exhibitions. At the awarding ceremony of the Feng Huo Cup, ten awards were selected, including the Best Chinese Food Association, the Star of Chinese Service and the Best New Media Award for Food and Best Food in 2019.
This Festival conforms to the new requirements and expectations of the new era for both inheritance and innovation of catering culture, and builds an important platform for strengthening the artistic exchanges between Chinese and foreign chefs, promoting the catering culture of different countries and promoting the cooperation of catering industry of different countries. At the closing ceremony, Yang Liu, president of the World Chinese Food Federation, awarded Qingdao the title of International Marine Food City on behalf of the World Chinese Food Federation.
This award is a high affirmation of our institute's commitment to the catering industry in the past 70 years. We will take this opportunity to take on the role of inheritance and innovation, continue to devote itself to the improvement of the quality of personnel training, the high-level development of professional groups, and make greater contributions to the national catering industry personnel training.
It is reported that the previous World Chef Art Festivals were held in Beijing. During this festival, more than ten thematic activities such as World Chef Art Summit 2019, Third Forum on the Development of Local Cuisine, Seventy Anniversary of the Founding of New China - Theme Exhibition of Chinese Seasons and Food, Chinese Banquet and Famous Banquet Art Exhibition 2019 and Exhibition of Excellent Catering Service Providers.
