“Future Chef Star” competition for our interns at Sheraton Qingdao Licang Hotel

Recently, our college and Sheraton Qingdao Licang Hotel jointly organized the intern competition for “Future Chef Star”. Xie Jun, General Manager of the hotel, and Shi Zengye, General Secretary of the Party Branch of Dept. of Culinary Arts, participated in the competition and served as a judge.

This activity is based on the fact that the internship is coming to an end. The Hotel expresses its appreciation to the interns for their hard work in the past year, and at the same time gives them an opportunity to show their professional skills. The students presented delicate dishes in the activities, and narrated the creative sources of their dishes and the stories behind them. The public judges and three chefs tasted and commented on the spot. Students have proved that they are no longer new interns, but full-time employees who can play a unique role in the hotel. After fierce competition, Sheng Yujie and other three students won the honorary title of “Future Chef Star”. Sheraton Hotel has issued excellent intern certificates for interns in our college.

This activity highlights the professional skills of our students, reflects the hotel's care and training efforts for interns, and provides a strong guarantee for reducing the brain drain in the industry and training more excellent talents in the hotel industry.
