Before Mid-autumn Festival, foreign teachers and students at QVTCHM attended some activities to experience traditional Chinese culture.
Li Yunyun, Chinese teacher, explained the origins, folk customs and poems of Mid-autumn Festival which aroused their interests and curiosity to make mooncakes symbolizing the union of family. Zhang Guifeng, pastry master, demonstrated how to make mooncakes and everyone learned to make mooncakes and eat different stuffed mooncakes.
I really like these experiences, mooncakes are tasty, Mid-autumn culture is amazing and I hope to learn Chinese well so I can know more about Chinese culture, one foreign student said.
In recent years, we’ve been doing a lot to improve foreign teachers and students’ lives and study here. QVTCHM is a “home away home”for foreign students.
