Recently, the General Affairs Office and the School of Arts took the World Tuberculosis (TB) Day and World Sleep Day as an opportunity to carry out the Health Fair series of health education activities in conjunction with the Center for Disease and Prevention and Control of Lichang District and Qingdao Mental Health Center.

On the occasion of  TB Day, the college carried out a poster competition on the theme of You and I Work Together to End the Epidemic of Tuberculosis from 11th to 19th March, and collected more than 50 pieces of works, which played a positive role in popularising the knowledge of tuberculosis prevention and treatment.

The college invited experts to give lectures on the theme of Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases in Schools, analysing the epidemiological trends in our city this spring, and stressing the importance of ventilation, personal hygiene, daily exercise, reasonable diet and vaccination in the prevention of infectious diseases.

On 21 March, World Sleep Day, the school carried out the theme activity of Healthy Sleep for All to relieve the pressure of teachers and students and raise their awareness of healthy sleep. Experts conducted on-site consultations on stress relief, insomnia, anxiety and mental health.

In the gymnasium, vaccine counselling and cervical cancer vaccine (HPV) on-site booking activities were carried out, and free Hepatitis B surface antibody tests were conducted for students in need. Through the combination of knowledge on prevention and control of infectious diseases and games, the teachers and students understand different types of infectious diseases, their typical symptoms, effective prevention and control measures, and effectively enhance the effectiveness of health education.

The college will further do a good job in health education from the prevention and treatment of common chronic diseases, first aid skills training, medication knowledge, health insurance policies and other dimensions.
