A pennant and a letter of thanks were sent to Cai Minghan by Qingdao Shibei District Handicraft Research Society and Qingdao Urban Construction Group Property Management Co., Ltd. respectively on March 12, because of his good deeds in fighting fires.
Cai Minghan is a student from Class 2022 International Cruise Crew Management (School-Enterprise Cooperation) of the School of Hospitality Management.
It is understood that on March 1, items in the backyard of a store on Licheng Road in Shibei District suddenly caught fire. Cai Minghan happened to be doing handicrafts in the store, and based on the skills he learned during the fire drill in the school, he quickly picked up the fire extinguisher in the store and jumped out of the window to put out the fire, and finally the fire was brought under control. Due to the timely extinguishing of the fire, there was no property damage or casualties in the store.
Cai Minghan's deeds of righteousness and courage convey the positive energy of the society, and at the same time set an example for the youth.
His deeds are a vivid interpretation of the school's motto of diligence, truth, smartness and elegance and the school spirit of love, strength and responsibility, reflecting the high sense of social responsibility and good spiritual outlook of our students.
The college will take this opportunity to enhance students' safety and responsibility awareness, and improve the pertinence and effectiveness of safety education.
