Hotel Service Event of the 16th Provincial Vocational Competition starts in the college

Hotel Service Event of the 16th Shandong Province Vocational College Skills Competition started in the college on December 5, and it’s jointly organized by Department of Education of Shandong Province and other three departments.

Li Da, Secretary of the Party Committee of the college, made a welcome speech. He said that the college will be under the unified leadership of the organizing committee of the competition, in accordance with the requirements of the competition system, and strive to do a good job in service and protection work, to ensure that the competition is held efficiently.

Prof. Wang Jingqiang, the head referee of the competition, announced the opening of the competition.

Director Mao Yanli, head of the Supervision and Arbitration Team, Prof. Jiang Qingrong, head of the Expert Working Group, as well as the leaders, competitors and instructors of 28 teams from the province participated in the opening ceremony.

With the aim of drawing on international standards, highlighting Chinese characteristics, staying close to the actual production, and reflecting the work process, the competition assesses the overall quality and relevant abilities of students in the process of hotel service, and dovetails with the standard of the World Skills Competition, the standard of the National Vocational Colleges Skills Competition, and the industry standard.

The competition consists of three modules: reception, Chinese food service and western food service. Through the competition, it can test the abilities of standard operation, innovative design, customer service, social communication, organization and management, product marketing, etc. and the comprehensive quality of the higher vocational tourism majors in the hotel service work.

As the host institution of the competition, the college set up the organization of the competition, research and development of the work program, held several thematic coordination meetings, combing and simulation of the competition process to create a strict and warm competition environment.
