The 2nd National Vocational Skills Competition of the PRC was held in Tianjin from September 16 to 19. On behalf of Shandong Province, three teachers and students from the School of Hotel Management of our college participated in Restaurant Service (Selection for the National Competition), Restaurant Service (Selection for the World Competition) and Hotel Reception (Selection for the World Competition) and won the winning awards respectively.
The competition was hosted by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and organized by the Tianjin Municipal Government, with a total of 4,045 contestants from 36 delegations across the country.
A total of 109 selected items for the World Competition and selected items for the National Competition involve 15 national economic industries such as manufacturing, information technology, transportation and construction, etc.
During the competition, in the face of the new system and judging standards, our teachers and students were brave to meet the challenges, and the fruitful results of our efforts to build an all-rounded skilled talent training highland of hospitality industry were fully demonstrated in this competition.
