The team training for the Teaching Ability Competition of the 2023 National Vocational College Skills Competition in Shandong Province was held at Holiday Inn Qingdao Expo on September 14th.
President Jiang Yupeng congratulated and welcomed the teams that qualified for the national competition. He mentioned that during the preparation for the national competition, they would encounter various challenges and confusions, and it was crucial to receive guidance from experts in different fields in a multidimensional and comprehensive manner. This training can be considered as timely assistance, and he hopes that all participating teams actively participate in various training activities, deeply understand and comprehend the experts' suggestions, improve their competition works, and enhance the level of education and teaching.
Li Shoubing made three requirements for the teams participating in the national competition. First, they should attach importance to it and fully recognize the important role of the teaching ability competition in promoting the reform of schools and improving the quality of talent training. Second, they should standardize the materials, carefully study the indicators, avoid violations, and improve the rigor of the competition materials. Third, they should enhance the connotation, improve the positioning of their works, integrate advanced concepts, and innovate teaching models.
This training is organized by the Shandong Institute of Education Sciences and hosted by the Shandong Vocational College TTT Reform Alliance (Qingdao Vocational and Technical College of Hotel Management).
It is the first teaching ability competition training event held in Shandong province and consists of two parts: thematic reports and group guidance. It is composed of 13 well-known experts from across the country and 10 young experts from the province, focusing on providing guidance on competition teaching cases, teaching implementation reports, professional talent training programs, curriculum standards, textbook selection guidelines, and competition video materials for the preliminary round of the national competition.
