The Hotel Service Event of 2023 National Vocational Students Skills Competition was held from September 4 to 8. It’s sponsored by 36 ministries including the Ministry of Education, undertaken by the Shandong Provincial Department of Education and the Qingdao Municipal People's Government was co organized by our school.
Our school's team represented Shandong province in the competition and ultimately won the first prize with outstanding results in the first place of the total score. Xu Mengru, Qin Jiahui, and Wang Jialu participated in three module competitions, and won the first prize in the group. Xu Wensu and Han Baozhen, two teachers, won the Excellent Instructor Award.
The Hotel Service Event consists of three modules: Chinese food service, Western food service, and front desk reception. It includes theme banquet design, banquet service, leisure restaurant service, check-in, check-out, complaint or emergency handling, and so on. It covers the core skills and professional qualities of hotel management and digital operation major.
The achievement of this competition demonstrates the results of our school's comprehensive reform of improving quality and excellence.
The School of Hotel Management will also take this competition as an opportunity to further deepen education and teaching reform, comprehensively improve the professional skills of teachers and students, and promote high-quality development of talent cultivation.
