The college held the opening ceremony and military training mobilization meeting in the stadium for freshmen on September 5, and 5,380 students from all over the country are to open a new chapter in their lives.
The opening ceremony began in the solemn national anthem. President Jiang Yupeng made a speech entitled building dreams and writing wonderful life chapter speech, and he put forward three requirements. The first one is to better realize the value of life; the second is to put in a lot of hard work, not to live up to youth, as soon as possible to find a personal positioning at college; thirdly, we should start from small things, take every lesson well, learn professional skills and improve comprehensive quality.
A flag-awarding ceremony was held and Li Da awarded the flag to the new student military training corps, which officially opened the prelude to the freshman military training.
All the instructors carried out the demonstration of basic manoeuvres of single tactics, light weapons shooting and other subjects, which won the applause of the freshmen on the scene, and fully mobilized for the smooth implementation of the military training.
Instructor representative made a speech that all instructors will be full of spirit and set up a good example to help students enhance the concept of national defense, improve military literacy, promote the spirit of patriotism, improve the overall quality of national defense.
Ms. Liu Meiling, a parent representative, said in her speech that she hoped students could realize their own dreams, learn to think independently and make decisions on their own, actively participate in social and team activities, and start a beautiful life journey.
Mr. Chen Peng of the School of Culinary Arts, focused on the topic of Growth and Achievement, and hoped that students would be firm in their beliefs, down-to-earth, innovative, and explore their potentials to witness their own growth and transformation.
Zhang Di, the representative of new students of Accounting School, said that all the new students will start college life as an opportunity to work hard, the courage to take on the mission.
Gong Enlong, presiding over the ceremony, said he hoped that students would work tirelessly to achieve success in military training and in college.
