The 1st Session of the 2nd Council of SMHEG, established under the leadership of the college, was held online and offline on December 11.
President Jiang Yupeng made a report on the work of the first council focusing on improving the operation mechanism and carrying out intellectual poverty alleviation projects, and introduced the work plan of the 2nd Council in combination with exploring diversified education and deepening the integration of industry and education.
President Jiang pointed out that SMHEG will continue to practice the cooperation mode of government, school, bank and enterprise, continuously improve the operation mechanism of production, learning, research and application, and comprehensively promote the construction of a win-win value blockchain of hotel vocational education with integration of supply and demand and complementary advantages through in-depth exploration of multi-mode school running practice.
The cases submitted by Rizhao Polytechnic, and other three governing units were rated as typical cases.
15 Council Members including China Travel Service(Shandong) and Holiday Inn Qingdao Expo won the outstanding contribution award.
14 directors including Zhang Jie, campus manager of Shanghai Disneyland Resort, and Pan Xiaoli, regional human resources director of Shangri La Hotel Qingdao, won the special contribution award.
The Council of the Group accepted 18 new Council Members including Yantai Vocational College of Culture and Tourism and The Westin Qingdao.
At the meeting, the relevant Council Members and our college jointly established the Professional Alliance of Hotel Management and Digital Operation, Tourism Management, Exhibition Planning and Management, and Cooking Technology and Nutrition.
The college appointed Zhou Quanhong, general manager of Qingdao Seaview Garden Hotel, as the industry leader of the Double High-level Program of hotel management professional group.
At the same time, the conference held a summit forum of digital culture and tourism, industry and education integration and other three parallel forums. All experts and scholars participated in online and offline discussions to discuss the integration of industry and education, seek connotation development and help the high-quality development of regional industries.
Nearly 1200 representatives from the governing units of SMHEG, representatives of relevant colleges and enterprises, and representatives of teachers and students attended the conference.
