The school's opening ceremony for freshmen of class 2021 and military training mobilization meeting in the stadium on the morning of September 6. More than 4900 students gathered in the beautiful campus with vigorous vitality and high spirits to start a new journey.
The opening ceremony began with the majestic sound of the national anthem. President Jiang Yupeng delivered a speech entitled Be the new person of the times calling on all freshmen to devote themselves to building our powerful China, which was the first lesson of school to freshmen.
President Jiang pointed out that military training is the first and required course for college students. He hoped all students can actively participate, be strict with requirements, train hard, transform in training and grow in tempering. Through military training, our college students should strengthen the lofty ideal of patriotism and dedication, sharpen the firm will of perseverance, shape the collective consciousness of unity and cooperation, and cultivate an optimistic and upward character of life.
At the flag awarding ceremony, Li Da, Secretary of the Party Committee of the college, awarded the regiment flag to the freshmen military training group, officially opening the prelude to the 2021 freshmen military training.
In the next ten days, the students will carry out military education and management, such as national defense legal education, housekeeping education, military posture queue training, ideological and labor education and civilization and habits education.
In her speech, Ms. Chen Jing, the parent representative, expressed the hope that students would learn to recognize change, learn to seek knowledge, learn to do things, learn to coexist, learn to survive, live up to their youth.
Ms. Bi Ying of the School of Business Administration hopes that students will find a firm direction in life, have the courage to exercise themselves, strengthen self-management, grow happily and forge ahead.
Zhang Xinyu, a representative of freshmen, said that he would cherish his youth, study hard and accumulate strength for the development of the country.
The head of the new military training regiment read out the military training plan, and the representative of the training instructor made a speech.
Subsequently, all the instructors under training conducted a wonderful military posture queue display, showing the mighty demeanor of Chinese soldiers.
When Jiang Lingling presided over the ceremony, she hoped that the students would successfully complete the military training task, comprehensively plan their college life and harvest their own brilliance.
