The Unveiling Ceremony of Mr. Wang Yisan's Bronze Statue

In memory of Mr. Wang Yisan's contribution to the establishment of the Culinary Specialty of the college, we held the unveiling ceremony of the bronze statue of Mr. Wang Yisan in the building of the School of Culinary Arts on July 9.

At the ceremony, Li Da, Secretary of the college Party Committee, and Wang Zhencai, former president of the School of Culinary Arts, unveiled the bronze statue of Mr. Wang Yisan.

President Jiang Yupeng welcomed the retired teachers who came back to attend the ceremony and expressed his gratitude to the excellent graduates who donated the bronze statues. He said that we should cherish the memory of Mr. Wang Yisan's achievements, guide the teachers and students to take Mr. Wang Yisan as an example, be loyal to the Party's education, be committed to the inheritance and development of Shandong cuisine culture, and make new contributions to the development of the catering industry.

Wang Zhencai expressed his gratitude and nostalgia for Mr. Wang Yisan, and introduced Mr. Wang's contribution to the cooking industry and his craftsman spirit of striving for perfection. In his speech, LV Zhongxing, the donor of the bronze statue and a student of Class1984, expressed his love and blessing for his alma mater and his reverence for his teacher.

The School of Culinary Arts will take this opportunity to inherit and carry forward Mr. Chen's craftsmanship spirit of continuous improvement, and make new contributions to the construction of Double High-level Program and the development of culinary education.

About Wang Yisan

Wang Yisan, born in Zhaoyuan, Shandong Province, is the first vice president of China Cuisine Association. At the age of 15, he went to Qingdao to learn cooking. After graduation, he worked as a chef in many famous hotels in Qingdao and Shanghai. Since 1972, he has worked in Shandong Catering Service Technical School, and is the founder of cuisine. In decades of culinary education, Mr. Wang Yisan has made great contributions to the inheritance and innovation of Shandong cuisine, known as the leader of Shandong Cuisine, and enjoys a high reputation in the culinary circles of China.
