Cui Bofei wins the silver medal in the second "Allen Thong Golden Coffee Pot Young Chef Challenge"

Recently Cui Bofei from the Department of Culinary Arts and five players from four other colleges in China won the group silver medal in the second Allen Thong Golden Coffee Pot Young Chef Challenge at La Cuisine Do Sial Abu Dhabi 2018.

Under the guidance and encouragement of Liu Lixin and other teachers, Cui Bofei cooperated with five other players tacitly to overcame the difficulties and successfully completed  buffet, chicken dishes and hot desserts for 44 people. He was highly recognized by the judges and won the silver medal of the group. Based on his excellent performance in many competitions, Cui Bofei will also act as the only representative of vocational students in the upcoming 12th Congress of Shandong Students’Federation.

The College strongly supports the preparation and participation of the Chinese team. The Department of Culinary Arts organizes many seminars and carefully prepares for the competition. Teachers conduct deep research on the rules and regulations of the competition and  carry out the preparatory work with the highest standards of international competition. On October 24, Cui Bofei was assigned to participate in the 2018 Ningbo International Youth Chef Challenge Competition. He won one gold and one silver medal and got valuable experience.

Our students participated in the competition and won prizes on behalf of China, showing the fruitful results of a series of teaching reforms. This is conducive to stimulating the enthusiasm of students and promoting the spirit of craftsmen. At the same time, it injects internal power and vitality into promoting the further improvement of teaching quality.

 It is an international competition certified by the World Federation of Chefs. This competition attracted many delegates from China, UAE, Singapore, Estonia, Panama, Sri Lanka, India and other countries. Tomas, President of the World Cook Federation, was watching the performance on the spot. Otto, President of the World Famous Cook Association and Swiss Cooking Association, was the referee. The competition has a high degree of attention and recognition worldwide.
