The college wins the first prize of the Restaurant Service Event

The Restaurant Service Event of 2022 National Competition for Skills of Vocational Education (higher vocational group) was held in Shandong College of Tourism and Hospitality  from August 26 to September 1. 

The team composed of Xu Lisa and Huang Xinyan won the first prize, and Zhang Lijian and Lin Jia won the Excellent Instructor  Award.

The competition was sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Shandong Provincial People's government and so on. A total of 114 contestants from 57 higher vocational colleges participated in the competition. 

The competition matches the standards of the world skills competition and focuses on assessing the comprehensive quality and ability of students in catering management and service. It is divided into three major projects: banquet reservation, Chinese food service and Western food service. Among them, Chinese food service includes two modules: theme banquet design and banquet service, while western food service includes cocktail preparation and service and leisure restaurant service. For the first time, the banquet reservation will be included in the assessment of the competition.

The National Competition for Skills of Vocational Education (higher vocational group) is the most authoritative, highest level and most influential national competition in China's vocational education.

This achievement shows the construction achievements of the Double High-level Program of the Hotel Management and Digital Operation specialty.
