The 8th Teaching Competition for Young Teachers in Shandong Province came to an end on May 30th. All the three teachers who were shortlisted in the final of the Competition won the first prize. Their comprehensive performance ranked first in vocational colleges in Shandong Province, setting the best record in our history of the Competition. The college was awarded Excellent Organization Award by Shandong Provincial Department of Education.
Starting from November, 2020, the Competition has gone through the stages of school selection, provincial selection, video recording, provincial preliminary, semi-final and final. A total of more than 600 teachers from 142 colleges across the province participated in the Competition, among which 153 teachers from 82 colleges entered the final.
During the Competition, Ms. Yang Xiaotong from the School of Accounting, Ms. Yu Jinru from the School of Hotel Engineering, and Ms.Guo Qianqian from the School of Information Technology, performed well, winning three first prizes, which is also a new breakthrough for engineering majors of the college to participate in the Competition. Ms. Gao Lin from the School of Accounting won the third prize in the provincial preliminary, semi-final, and Ms. Meng Weiwei from the School of Hotel Engineering won the excellent award.
The 8th Teaching Competition for College Young Teachers is the highest level of young teachers' teaching competition in Shandong Province. Four groups are set up: arts, science, engineering and medicine. The outstanding ones in the first prize will be selected to participate in the biennial National College Young Teachers' Teaching Competition.
Participating in the competition provides an effective way to improve the teaching ability of college teachers and promote the classroom revolution.
